What is a Detailometer?

The Detailometer is a unique instrument that measures the quality of your detailing and uses its own unique “Quick Report App” to translate your detailing into an instant in-depth report that you can send to your clients to show the level of your work, demonstrate before and after transformations, and most importantly, build customer trust by offering transparent, measurable results that turn doubtful customers into loyal and repeat clients.

Wave goodbye to guesswork and hello to quantifiable quality!

What is the Quick Report App?

Quick Report App Image

The quick report application is an easy-to-use reporting package which accepts data via Bluetooth from both the Detailometer and the Paint Thickness Gauge. This app will allow you to quickly (and easily!) create a customised PDF report to share with the customer, and it works with Android, iOS, and a PC using a web browser. To download the app, visit: app.rhopointinstruments.com. Once you have the app downloaded, follow the simple instructions within the YouTube video (at minute 2:10) to pair your Detailometer.

Why do you need the Quick Report App?

The Quick Report App allows you to customise the report with your company logo alongside your contact details.

Our ‘how to’ video above will walk you through set up and use of your Detailometer and Paint Thickness Gauge. To customise your reports, follow the instructions in this video (at minute 4:50). Once you have paired your instrument with your Quick Report App, readings are sent directly from your Detailometer/Paint Thickness Gauge to the app. The readings can easily be exported to either .csv or a .pdf document.

How Does The Quick Report App Work?

The Quick Report App works by taking the ‘Parts’ from your ‘parts library’ and using them in a template. To create your ‘Parts’ template within your app, follow the instructions (at minute 6:35). Once your templates are created, you are ready to take measurements with your Detailometer. To take readings, it is as simple as pressing the ‘read’ button on your instrument, and the readings of gloss, haze and DOI will automatically transfer to the app, instructions are available in the video (at minute 10:30). Several readings can be taken to get an ‘average’.

All stats are shown in the report when generated at the end. Images can be added to the report, in fact, you can add as many images as you want to include areas of interest. If using a mobile device to input your measurements, photos can be taken directly from your device and added to the report. If you have a Rhopoint Paint Thickness Gauge, you can also add paint thickness measurements to the report. To do this, follow the instructions in the video below (at minute 11:50). Once all readings are completed, your customised report can then be generated.
